Having lived in Holland, I liked the idea of gifts on a day other than Christmas. Dec 6 was the day the children woke to gifts in their wooden shoes. Dec 26 was a time of gift giving also. But the 25th was the day for Christ. The season always reminds me of a family Circle cartoon. Jeffie says he likes Easter better because he doesn’t have to be good to get goodies. What’s wrong with this picture?
