I have been so heart broken about what has happened and often find myself asking the well worn questions. I have often struggled with the concept of how our sin plays into natural disasters and  what you said makes perfect sense to me now. Adam and Eves sin is OUR sin, and we do reap the consequences. I have friends who have lost everything in this storm and only by Gods grace were physically spared…and I know they have the same questions ; how it could happen… especially to those little ones. I feel better prepared to deal with these situations now and even feel more confident in saying “I dont know” to some of those questions.

Often, when answers aren’t concise and definitive, we blame God, or turn away from Him. Years ago, I heard an answer from a priest. He simply said “I don’t know.”. The answer to the same question was repeated in this blog. “I don’t know.” This time the question was a starting point for the exploration of this question in a cogent manner. This exploration crossed from what is within common understanding to that which God has given us through His son Jesus Christ, and to our collective nature as sinners in a broken world. . So, once again I asked the question “Why did God  allow this tragedy in Oklahoma?” and I had the same answer, “I don’t know”. But what I do know now is that I have reasoned faith (not blind faith) and have complete trust in God. I feel sorrow in tragedy, but I also trust God.
