I wrote my congressman today. Never done that before, but I am convinced action must be taken. The subject? Pastor Saeed Abedini, the American pastor being held because of his faith in one of Iran’s most notorious prisons. Unfortunately, our State Department and our government, in general, has abandoned him, cutting a deal with Iran to reduce nuclear development without first dealing with the issue of an American citizen rotting away in their prison.

I pray for Pastor Saeed and his family. I think it’s also time to take action. If we don’t, he will be forgotten and that should not happen as long as we have a voice. You and I have a voice. Use it. Here is my letter to my congressman.

I encourage you to take the time and energy to use your voice to respectfully remind our representatives who they work for and what they should be working on. If you would like to learn more about the situation and hear the testimony of Pastor Saeed’s wife before congress, you can watch this lengthy but informative video from the ACLJ.
