<\/a>Just read an excerpt from a Relevant Magazine<\/a> article in On Mission<\/a>:<\/p>\n More than 2,000 Christians died for their faith last year, according to Open Doors.\u00a0 The conflict in Syria accounted for the largest group of Christian deaths, some 1,200 casualties.\u00a0 The total number of confirmed martyr deaths reported 2,123 for 2013, includes no numbers for North Korea, where no official Christian deaths were recorded, but most certainly took place.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n If we think people aren’t dying for their faith in Christ all around the world even today, we are ignorant of the truth.\u00a0 If we believe that it can’t happen in America, we are naive.<\/p>\n “…and having done all, to stand firm.” (Ephesians 6:13b<\/a>)<\/p>\n
