It is sad but true: in the evangelical church, Eschatology (the study of the culmination of history or “end times”) has become a point of division. With differing (and competing) views used as lines in the sand of whether an individual or leader is “in” or “out,” it seems as though the Enemy has established a new front to cause confusion within Christ’s Church.
Though there should be deep study and healthy debate on the issues of eschatology, division should never be the result. It is in that vein that Dayton Hartman has written a helpful book, calling us back to the central message of the Revelation as well as all apocryphal writings within Scripture: Jesus wins!
Whether the popular Dispensationalist view, Amillinnialism, or historical Premillinnialism, the final result is Jesus returns to gather His Church and reign forever, finally defeating all His enemies and destroying sin and death once and for all.
If you have found yourself confused on what these weird names mean or have been trying to figure out whether Left Behind got it right or one of your spiritual heroes has it all figured out, or are wondering just what the big deal is, Jesus wins is a helpful, approachable book that will leave you encouraged and excited about the ultimate message of the book—I think you know what that is.
I encourage you to get a copy, its short 65 pages with a few appendices easily read in one sitting, and remember to keep the main thing the main thing.
